Cotton is up Triple Digits at Midday

So far cotton is seeing triple digit increases for nearby Dec futures, the gains tail off through the other contracts. The National Weather Service’s 7-day accumulated precipitation shows another really wet week for most of the nation, from IN south to GA and west as far as OK and eastern TX is forecasted to receive 3 inches or more of precipitation, with less but still significant forecasted for the remainder of the South East. Weekly online sales on The Seam through 11/21 were up to 16,413 bales; last week’s total was 18,087 through Thursday. The 11/22 Cotlook A Index was down for the again at 73.25 cents/lb. The AWP for cotton is 56.36 cents per lb. and effective through Thursday.

DEC 19 Cotton is at 64.6, up 118 points,

MAR 19 Cotton is at 65.75, up 90 points

MAY 20 Cotton is at 66.78, up 84 points

JUL 20 Cotton is at 67.54, up 73 points
